Hadrill takes over as head of FRC

Stephen Haddrill is set to succeed Paul Boyle as chief executive of the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) and will be appointed as a member of the FRC Board.

The announcement has followed Paul Boyle's decision to stand down in January.

Mr Haddrill, who is currently director general of the Association of British Insurers, will assume his new responsibilities at the FRC in mid-November.

GI AR numbers fall again

The general insurance and protection sector saw the biggest fall in the number of appointed representatives last financial year, the Financial Conduct Authority has calculated.
