Insurance Cares: FCA calls for “meaningful change” for vulnerable customers

Christopher Woolard calls on sector to work together to help customers with pre-existing medical conditions gain access to insurance.

Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) director of strategy and competition, Christopher Woolard, has warned that some customers, particularly those who have had cancer, struggle to get access to insurance with regard to travel cover.

He called on the sector to take part in a wider discussion around how vulnerable customers with pre-existing conditions get insurance.
