PB Week: Calling all broker managers

Professional Broking has arranged four management events across the country - free to UK’s general insurance broker managers, and we hope to see you there to discuss some interesting times, writes Andrew Tjaardstra, editor, Professional Broking .

The PB Management Event is a timely opportunity to talk to your peers, hear from the experts and to reflect on interesting times. We know you are busy people, with staff to manage and clients to see, but we feel these opportunities can provide a different perspective on your day to day business and can enhance your profile within the broking community. And we save you making breakfast and that awkward decision about what to have for lunch.

So make sure you book the morning off and come to:

7 October: Bolton, the Reebok Stadium (500 yards from junction 6 of the M61)

8 October: Harrogate, Cedar Court Hotel

15 October: Weston-super-Mare, the Winter Gardens

16 October: London, Lord’s Cricket Ground

The timetable is as follows:

8:30am to 9:25am Registration

9:25am Chairman’s Welcome, Andrew Tjaardstra, editor, Professional Broking

9:30am Regulatory update from the Financial Services Authority

9:50am Market update from two partners in the financial services group at Grant Thornton

10:10am Coffee and networking

10:40am Broker case study: meeting the challenges of the current market

11:00am Working with clients to help them manage their risks with Mark Owen, company solicitor, Peninsula Business Services
