Apple iPhone apps continue to be all the rage in the insurance industry. Aviva launched MyClaim, a free app enabling policyholders to file a motor insurance claim remotely from their iPhones.

Commercial specialist Evolution Underwriting also launched an app that allows brokers to review available quotes, place a quote on cover and see details of all policies, including lapsed and cancelled cases.

Powerplace completed what it calls 'the three As', with the news that Aviva and Axa were joining Allianz on the platform. The company is targeting 1,000 brokers by the end of 2011 and claims to be signing up two each day.
