MRIB buys J.N. Dobbin

High Wycombe based commercial and high net worth broker MRIB has bought local rival J.N. Dobbin for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition adds £4m in GWP to MRIB's pre-acquisition level of £25m.

J.N. Dobbin's book of business and eight staff, all of whom are being retained by MRIB, will transfer from Beaconsfield to the High Wycombe office in the upcoming weeks.

J.N. Dobbin, which specialises in corporate and high net worth insurance, was formed in the 1950s and had been purchased by IFA firm Greenhill in 2001 to form Greenhill Dobbin.
