Cox Insurance has sold its Liverpool-based underwriting company
Groves, John & Westrup, specialists in pleasure craft and cargo
insurance.


Munich Re Holding Company, part of the Munich Re Group, has bought the
company. All policies will be retained, as will all staff at GJW's
Liverpool base and its offices in Leeds and Southampton. GJW will act on
behalf of Watkins syndicate - syndicate 457 - at Lloyd's, for which Munich
Re provides 100% capacity.


Cox now has no interests in the marine market
