It is not often that insurers and intermediaries are in completeagreement about market conditions. However, in the case of Private Medical
Insurance (PMI), all parties are unanimous. Ask after the health of the
market and they all state that it is stable but a watchful eye must be
kept on it.
The acknowledged definitive sources for PMI statistics are reports
produced by analyst Laing & Buisson. Its most recent report shows that PMI
subscribers increased by only 3.7% in the whole of the eight years
