International intermediaries must come together if they are to
survive the increasing globalisation of insurers and regulation, according
to Ahmad Ghiti, chairman of the Insurance Brokers' Association of
Malaysia.


Dr Ghiti said globalisation was behind the Council of International
Insurance Broker Associations' decision to join the World Federation of
Insurance Intermediaries.


The CIIBA will become the WFII's Pacific and East Asian chapter, meaning
the WFII now has representatives from Africa
