Underwriting agency Markerstudy and travel insurance specialistVoyager have gone into partnership, launching a range of low cost travel
insurance to be sold by general insurance intermediaries.
The bargain policies are offered to the under 66s only, after
Markerstudy's research suggested claims from over 65s can cost up to five
times more than other groups.
Two weeks' European cover, for example, costs £17.30 while the 'kids go
free' Voyager family package costs less than £30 a week for Europe.
