Lloyd's syndicate DJ Pye 962 has been named as the insurer of Group4, the operator of the Yarl's Wood Detention Centre which was seriously
damaged by riots in February. David Pye, active underwriter at the
syndicate, said: "From the reports of the event it is evident that a riot
took place as defined under the Riot (Damages) Act 1886. This Act requires
that notice of the intent to seek recovery be given within 14 days of the
