Software provider Computer Sciences Corporation has closed itsBurnley office.
Tony Barker, CSC head of marketing for general insurance, insisted the
office closure would not affect the 160 brokers who use its Grapevine
broking system.
The majority of the staff at the Burnley office were on contract and did
not have their contracts renewed. Three staff moved to the company's
Halifax office and the remainder were made redundant. CSC has six general
insurance offices and a European head office in this
