The Financial Services and Markets Tribunal has, for the first time, refused to authorise both a firm and its individuals.

It upheld the Financial Services Authority's Regulatory Decisions Committee's decision to refuse an application for authorisation to carry out regulated activity by Ridings GB and three individuals: Norman Deakin; Gwynneth Roe; and Ivan Harrison.

The tribunal was not satisfied that the firm met the threshold conditions to carry out regulated business under the Financial
