Zurich Insurance has provided a guarantee of confidentiality to its intermediaries, following concerns expressed by the Association of Insurance Intermediaries and Brokers about possible cross-selling by Direct Line to Zurich customers who buy breakdown services from Green Flag.The AIIB raised this issue after Direct Line highlighted potential cross-selling opportunities when it bought Green Flag from Cendant for £220m last month. The deal gives Direct Line access to 2.5m new customers.
