Chris Woodburn, chief executive of the General Insurance Standards
Council, said: "The problems we have found on our 11,000 regulatory visits
have been lack of evidence of training and the absence of any system of
continuing personal development. Solvency is a problem area and people are
also falling down on describing their service to customers and complaints
recording procedures. Even if you never receive any complaints you have to
have some system for recording them in place."
