City-based broker Stuart Alexander is firmly back on the acquisition trail after its purchase of Bishop Skinner, which tipped SA's gross written premium to over £60m - an increase of 18%. The consideration was calculated on a multiple-of-brokerage basis. Bishop Skinner, headed by SA chief Stuart Reid's ex-employer Tim Hall has 30 employees, all of whom will remain.
Bishop Skinner is said to have a well-established book of marine and small-craft business as well as general commercial business.
