Employers are turning their backs on private medical insurance, according to an Aon Consulting survey. Some 80% of UK employers claim rising premium costs are their biggest concern when renegotiating private healthcare arrangements. The research revealed that four in 10 employers (42.6%) experienced a rise in excess of 6%. The average single subscription rate currently stands at between £301 and £350, it claims.
