Marsh has quashed rumours that it is closing the commercial lines
middle market operation, Aldgate, which it inherited from Sedgwick.


At the time of going to press, rumours were circulating that the
Manchester-based unit would be shut and the business redeployed to the
regions. A spokeswoman for Marsh denied this: "Marsh's project Aldgate
will continue to be active in providing its clients in the medium-sized
business segment with direct and instant access to a team of insurance,
risk management
