Insurance salaries are now so close to investment banking levels that
insurers should look to profit-related bonuses, according to financial
services executive research consultancy Longbridge. Its report Vision 2000
found senior underwriters in the London insurance market can now expect
remuneration of up to £140,000 pa, including bonuses and/or profit
commission. Head of Longbridge's insurance division Stuart White said: "If
