Lloyd's insurer Wellington plans to establish a new London-based
insurance company by the end of the year, capitalised at some £400m.
Wellington said it was in discussions with a number of investors -
including Candover Partners, Electra Partners Europe, 3i Group and Phoenix
Equity Partners - who have expressed interest in supporting the venture.
The move is subject to regulatory approval.
