The British Insurance Law Association has welcomed the DTI's plans for a wholesale review of commercial law.
The DTI announced the review following a meeting between department officials, the Solicitor General, Court of Appeal Judge, academics and other interested parties, such as the Law Commission. These representatives found much of British commercial law is 100 years old and difficult for businesses to understand.
BILA is supporting the initiative with a forum that will review insurance
