Aurora Corporate Services is set to launch an outsourcing service for
the insurance industry this autumn.


Aurora was set up to run-off Independent Insurance but now plans to use
the failed insurer's infrastructure to attract new business. Alasdair
Stewart, who worked on businessrisk.com for Independent and its subsequent
owner Axa, will join Aurora as business development director. He will
initially head a team of four.


Aurora intends to offer IT services first, before moving into policy
administrat

ALA expands range with pothole insurance

Yorkshire-based GAP insurance provider ALA Insurance has expanded its product offering with the launch of a specialist pothole insurance policy, in a move it claimed targets one of the “more persistent and costly problems facing UK motorists”.
