The British Insurance Brokers' Association is urging the Financial Services Authority to introduce more fee bands for its annual fees.

Paul Garland, membership manager of BIBA, believes that the FSA's authorisation fee bands are too broad and is urging for it to introduce at least two more for its periodical fees.

He said: "The proposed bands are okay at the top end of the scale but lower down the fees seem rather high. Our regulatory party is in ongoing discussions and we are hopeful that the FSA
