Towergate has acquired the Agricultural Insurance Underwriting Agency. AIUA will continue to operate out of its offices in Harrogate and will seek further acquisitions in the agricultural field to reinforce its position in its market. The acquisition follows the recent purchase of the farm insurance portfolio of Lloyd & Whyte, and takes Towergate's gross written premium to £250m.
