US insurance holding company WR Berkley Corporation plans to form aUK-based insurance company specialising in domestic casualty risks.
Berkley aims to take advantage of improving market conditions and launch
the operation in the third quarter of 2003. The launch is subject to
approval by the Financial Services Authority but Berkley is hoping to
receive this by 1 July.
