Sales of critical illness sales reached an all-time high last yearwith 626 584 new policies sold - an increase of 33.2% on 1996. This is the
finding of the Healthwatch annual survey conducted by Swiss Re Life &
Health.
Independent financial advisers, brokers and intermediaries now account for
29.7% of all sales of critical illness policies, according to the
research. Since 1991, critical illness business generated by independent
agents has increased by 845%
The survey also found that income
