The Financial Services Compensation Scheme is attempting to protect customers of Barnsley-based Drive Direct who may have lost money after the firm went into administration. The FSCS says it expects most claims to relate to the return of premiums where cover was not put in place. "We would advise anyone who has had dealings with this firm since 14 January 2005, and thinks they may have lost money, to contact us," said Loretta Minghella, chief executive of the FSCS.
