Gloomy economic forecasts for 2008 are causing concern among managers at small to medium-sized enterprise businesses.
However, reports of an impending recession are nothing more than an exaggeration, according to a senior economist from HSBC.
Mark Beresford-Smith said that while 2008 would undoubtedly be a slower year for SMEs, it was important for those involved with the industry, including managers of SME brokers, not to get carried away with scaremongering media reports.
