Allianz Cornhill has announced it has achieved a record operating profit of £159.1m - a 37% increase on 2002. Net written premium reached £1469m - a rise of 13.3% over 2002. Its personal lines income grew by 4%, which was said to have produced a positive underwriting result for the second year running. The insurer also saw a 16% increase in commercial premium income to £996m and a combined ratio of 97.8%.
