The Treasury's review of whether travel agents should be regulated by the Financial Services Authority is gathering pace after MP Ed Balls, economic secretary to the Treasury, held an evidence session with the Financial Services Consumer Panel and Holiday Travel Watch, on 23 November. The review is being conducted in response to consumer groups' concern over specific problems faced by consumers purchasing travel insurance as part of a package.
