Specialist insurer Hiscox's gross written premium increased 30% to over £500m to the end of May over the same time last year. A statement said: "The UK business continues to grow satisfactorily. The TV advertisements run in May had a measurable impact over all retail areas and also helped broker sales." The 'superstitious' television adverts are slated to return to our screens in September and October this year. Overall, rates increased 9%, with its reinsurance rates increasing 17%.
