Loss adjuster the Ashworth Mairs Group has undergone a £62m management buyout with main backing from Hermes Private Equity. The management team is led by group managing director Kevin Wood, who said Hermes was selected partly because it was a long-term investor and did not insist on setting a time frame for its exit. Founder David Mairs has left to pursue other interests outside insurance.
