A total of 61 intermediaries have been sent agency cancellation
notices by insurers for failing to complete an Association of British
Insurers code compliance form, which was initially mailed to them back in
December 1996.

The offending intermediaries have ignored two reminders and a final demand
to return their review forms, which assess basic compliance and underpin
PriceWaterhouse Coopers' third party monitoring activities.

A further 20 intermediaries have been given a four-week ultimatum to
comply
