The creditors of Independent Insurance Group is meeting on 24February to brief members on its proposed action against the Financial
Services Authority.
The meeting will outline how the CIIG intends to broach the subject with
the European Commission. The CIIG wants the EC to investigate the case,
arguing that the FSA failed in its duty to investigate Independent
Insurance.
The French regulator tipped off the FSA about financial irregularities in
the insurer's Paris office in November 2000
