The season of goodwill has kicked in already, with Legal & General Insurance providing 10% extra cover on its household policies over the Christmas period.All policyholders automatically receive the extra cover free of charge, from 1 December 2001 to 15 January 2002. It is designed to protect against the theft of Christmas presents, on which the average household spends £600.
