In response to the Office of Fair Trading's May 1998 report on health
insurance, PMI companies are to improve market practices with a range of
measures including "a robust consumer guide" and a choice between
morotoria and full underwriting.


The working party submission proposes the introduction of a product
outline document, which will include a core term benefit table designed to
help customers understand what is being offered and to compare products
across insurers.
