UKGI is aiming to double its current broker client base from 245 to 500 members in the next three to five years, posing a threat to networks such as Cobra and the Broker Network.
UKGI, which started as a compliance support provider to brokers in 2003, added other services in July 2005 to offer network-type support including: commission enhancement through aggregation; access to agencies; and business support.
The service is similar to that offered to independent financial advisers by Bankhall
