Keith Rutter, chief executive of The Underwriter, has denied that thecompany has run out of capacity but that it is "rationing to our most
favoured brokers".
Mr Rutter said The Underwriter's original business plan had not taken into
account the unpredictable changes to the market seen this year. It is,
therefore, taking a cautious approach to new business. "We are quite
