Oval has made another acquisition by buying the book of business of broker Wilkinson Rodgers in Huddersfield, which was founded in 1924. It is the group's 12th acquisition in three years.

Wilkinson Rodgers handles mainly commercial lines insurance and brings in annual gross written premium of £7m. The business now employs 21 people, all of which are staying.

Former chairman of Wilkinson Rodgers Steve Manning and former managing director Trevor Sutton will become divisional directors of Oval's
