An internal memo from Willis has stated that it expects all major brokers to follow its lead and introduce 2.5% commission on fees business by 2008. The memo predicted that Jardine Lloyd Thompson would follow suit from the beginning of 2008 and that HSBC and Heath Lambert would also adopt the policy as soon as possible. Aon has operated a 2.5% commission on fee business for more than six years, while Marsh was expected to announce additional commission fees in the beginning of October.
