In a warning to brokers, Mark Cliff, distribution director of Axa, said the firm had recently carried out 'health checks' on 22 brokers, and none were fully compliant.
However, Grant Taylor of the Eastern Alliance, one of the brokers assessed by Axa, said it was only one small area concerning the money-laundering officer in which they failed.
Also, Cliff said that, in light of regulation, the industry had to ensure it did not become too preoccupied with internal processes and remember to focus on
