Zurich's commercial business unit has found only 18% of UK companiescurrently purchase directors and officers cover, and 39% have not heard of
it. Only 51% of companies purchasing the cover considered it essential or
very important, while 12% said it was of little relevance. A massive 79%
of those companies currently not purchasing the insurance thought the
chances of this changing were very slim.
