IGI Insurance's has gone live with a rental guarantee policy aimed atthe commercial and retail property market. It is marketing it as an
alternative to paying large deposits to landlords. Arthur Goldberg at IGI
said: "We received many requests from our clients for this policy as many
were being asked to pay exorbitant deposits."
For this reason, IGI will cover deposits for as much as £150,000, with no
minimum restriction. The guarantee also covers the tenant's rental
obligations to the landlord
