In yet another setback for the Financial Services Authority's regulation of insurance, the deadline for Retail Mediation Activities Return forms has been delayed until 9 September, from the original date of 11 August. This deadline applies to brokers with financial-year ends of 30 June 2005 and also to firms with a 31 December 2004 year end for their half-year return.

While the FSA said its decision would give the market more time to comply, it also cited technical difficulties with its reporting
