North Yorkshire insurance broker Gale & Phillipson has announced theacquisition of fellow North Yorkshire broker EW Smith & Co.
The takeover creates one of the largest brokers in north-east England,
with offices in Harrogate, Northallerton and Skipton and an annual
turnover of £10m. The company has 75 members of staff, having taken on
extra personnel, and has purchased new property in Harrogate in order to
accommodate the extra numbers.
