Claims management companies are forming a new trade group called the
Personal Injury Association. Due to be launched in April, the PIA aims to
give the claims management sector a single voice and promote common
standards. The government is considering regulating the sector under the
Financial Services Authority. David Hargreaves, chief executive of claims
management company Blue Sky Group, said: "We are approaching the
government to offer the PIA as part of its review of the regulatory
framework
