Marsh's parent, Marsh and McLennan, has dropped 180 places in a list of the world's top-500 firms. MMC fell down The Financial Times' list after profits fell 70% for the first quarter in 2005. The company stressed earlier this year that revenues had declined 19% to $1.2bn (£664m) "due to the termination of market services agreements".
