An announcement on the future of broker regulation has been delayed
according to industry sources. John Greenway, MP said: "It is now unlikely
that we will have any decision before recess. The Financial Services
Reform Bill, may now be postponed by up to a year. However it is clear the
issue has become a great deal more complicated than the government
initially anticipated." He added: "Even if the government does decide to
abolish the IBRC, a satisfactory transfer will be necessary, which is
easier
