The annual wage survey by recruitment specialist Insurance Personnel Selection shows the difference in earning potential for sectors of the broking market. Based on this year's wages, IPS has projected that London market placing brokers with 1-3 years' experience will earn an average of £26,000 in 2004, regional UK commercial brokers with 2-3 years' experience will earn £16 750 on average in 2004, and regional UK personal lines brokers with 2-3 years' experience will earn £12 750 on average.
