AXA - darling of the City diary pages.

Since AXA announced its whopping £41m sponsorship of the FA Cup, the
insurer seems to have miraculously become the darling of the City diary
pages. In the last month we had the story about Axa chairman Mark Wood
never having been to a football match in his life. This was quickly
followed by the tale of Mr Wood having to queue up with the ordinary
punters at the Oval to watch an Axa-sponsored cricket match because he
hadn't been given a VIP ticket. And then there was the yarn about Les
Owen, chief
