Towergate has announced the acquisition of Maidstone-based Marine & General, which currently manages a £1.2m portfolio of pleasure craft and related marine commercial covers. This adds to the group's existing marine interests worth £30m in gross written premium. The deal marks Towergate's 108th acquisition, bringing its total GWP managed by the group to just over £1.25bn.
